Ph.D. in sociology with a focus on “methodology and methods of sociological research” (Institute of Sociology at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, 2015), a research fellow at the Center for Urban History in Lviv (since 2016).
Natalia was involved in a number of international research projects, among others “Region, Nation and Beyond” (2012-15, University of St. Gallen), “Memories of Vanished Populations” (2012-14, Lund University), “Historical Cultures in Transition” (2017-19, Collegium Civitas). She was a tutor and coordinator of the Urban Summer Schools “Visions and Experiences” (2015-18), a lecturer at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (2016) and Ukrainian Catholic University (2023). With support from the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation she developed an online course “Neighbors and Strangers: Introduction to Urban Sociology” (2021). In 2019-22, Natalia was an associated researcher at the Center for Contemporary History in Potsdam; in 2022-23, she was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the Department of Sociology, Columbia University.
