De Iacobis studied architecture in Rome, attended a two-year programme of basic and advanced photography, and participated in several exhibitions, including the Internazionale di Roma photography festival. De Iacobis previously worked in Urhahn Urban Design, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, STAR, Strategies+Architecture, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and cooperated with Studiometrico, Milan, Italy. He is a laureate of both architectural and photography competitions, a former member of the Akademie Schloss Solitude, a team member of the CENTRALA group of architects, Warsaw, Poland, who generate artistic criticism about Polish spatial environment.
Every semester, first and second-year KhSA students participate in a Technical Bloc workshop focused on the interaction between architecture and natural phenomena, discovering architecture as a process and studying gravity, water circulation, atmospheric and celestial phenomena.
