“Architectural Heritage Preservation in Times of War: The Ukrainian Model” is a free 3D documentation course developed in cooperation between the Kharkiv School of Architecture, Skeiron, a leader in 3D heritage documentation in Ukraine, and the Heritage Management Organization HERITΛGE.
This course is not only theory but also practice in digital documentation of architectural heritage. It covers a wide range of 3D mapping and surveying tools, as well as the methodology of spatial data analysis and application.
The course includes workshops, practical assignments on analyzing and managing spatial data and publishing them as GIS mapping products. Students will learn how to create complex 3D documentation of high quality and store it for online distribution and further use.
The training will be held jointly with 3rd year students of the Kharkiv School of Architecture.

Professor at the Department of Real Estate and Applied Geomatics and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Geography, Ghent University College, Belgium. Specialist in combination, processing and quality analysis of airborne and terrestrial laser scanning and photogrammetry for 3D applications.
Senior Research Fellow at the University College London (UCL), Project Leader for the Central Asian Archaeological Landscapes (CAAL). Expert in multimodal digitization and digital documentation.
Co-founder of Skeiron LLC and its “SaveUkrainianHeritage” initiative. Expert in digital documentation of architectural monuments, photogrammetry and laser scanning.
