We invite everyone to attend the public lecture of our guest lecturer, which will take place on December 22, 2021 at 18:00 at the Kharkiv School of Architecture Fulco Treffers will be giving a lecture about sustainable architecture in general, with a focus on circular economy in architecture and building. He will provide some general information about sustainability issues in The Netherlands, and how the job of urban planning changed due to climate change. Special attention will be given to water and heat management and architecture of reused and biobased materials. In the presentation there will be several Dutch projects he is closely involved with, designed by 12N Urban Matters or closely related architects.
As a founder of 12N Urban Matters Fulco works in and on the city: architecture and urban design with specialization in co-creation and sustainable design. He connects to the place by connecting to people. Treffers translates, shares and connects to design principles, which leads to new insights and results. Successful projects are Space-S and Temporary Art Center, both in Eindhoven. In conversation with the city he develops visions and concepts and brings them into live. He is self made social worker, musician, moderator, designer and teacher. Connector, artist, new thinker, process designer, curator.
Outside of the Netherlands, Fulco did several urban planning projects in Serbia, Poland and mainly in Ukraine: in Mariupol, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, several cities at the eastern border, and for the Kharkiv School of architecture.
We kindly ask you to comply with the quarantine conditions. In lectures, wearing a mask is mandatory.
