She studied architecture at Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (KNUCA) and holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. She has over 13 years of professional experience in architecture, urban planning and urban design in Sweden and Ukraine. She has worked as an urban planner at the Stockholm City Planning Administration, as well as an architect and urban designer at Urban Minds, Sweco Architects, Tovatt Architects & Planners and Borodkin Architects.
As an independent expert, Anastasiia focuses on Swedish-Ukrainian cooperation and projects related to urban recovery in Ukraine. Working at the intersection of different planning cultures, disciplines and scales, she combines practical project work with teaching. She was the curator of the Swedish-Ukrainian educational programme Rapid Urban Re-Innovation: Strategic Urban Design for Inclusive Recovery in Ukraine, a tutor for the Building Back Better winter workshops, and a lecturer in the Master’s Studio at the Kharkiv School of Architecture.
Her professional goal is to contribute to the development of urban planning and design culture in Ukraine and to the creation of high-quality, inclusive urban environments. Anastasiia believes that sustainable urban development requires a combination of strategic vision, professional expertise, dialogue and shared responsibility. This approach enables the creation of urban environments rooted in historical continuity and the identity of place, while establishing sustainable conditions for the well-being and development of communities.
