Ponomariova is an architect, urbanist, researcher, co-founder of the Urban Curators urban agency. She works at the intersection of artistic activism, architecture, urban design and community development and designs concepts and strategies for various forms and scales of the Post-Soviet urban environment. After graduating from the Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture and the Kyiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, in 2010-2015, Ponomariova worked with CANactions and Zotov&Co. office. In 2017-2018, she was a Fulbright student in Norman B. Leventhal Center for Advanced Urbanism at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. Four year ago, together with colleagues, Ponomariova founded an independent agency Urban Curators. Since then, she has implemented a number of projects in different cities of Ukraine, including its Eastern Region, to change urban environment and direct the cities into the future.
