Graduate of Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon (INSA), France, and the Prydniprovska Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Dnipro, Ukraine.
After obtaining his MS, continued into post-graduate studies. PhD from the North Rhine-Westphalia Technical University of Aachen (RWTH) (IDEA League, an alliance of five leading European universities of technology). DAAD and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation fellow. Specialization: civil engineering mechanics and mechanics of thin walled structures, plates and shells. Laureate of the State Award in civil engineering mechanics, 2018. Author of a monograph and several articles on solids deformation mechanics published in international journals.
In 2017, founded Druid Project Bureau, focusing on administrative, residential, industrial and agrarian design. The Bureau has worked on adjusting the projects by Zaha Hadid in Dnipro, Ukraine, developing a concept and a project of an up-to-date community centre typology, collaborated with the Metinvest company and Hiroki Matsuura on the “Metinvest Polytechnics” project. Collaborates with partners from Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Georgia.
7 years’ experience of giving lectures in French for Francophone students in materials resistance, civil engineering mechanics and theory of elasticity. Presently, Kolesnykov is engaged in designing an introductory course in the Theory of Structures for the KhSA BA programme. Fluent in English and French.
