Maria Tselik is an architect with MA in Architecture from the Kharkiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Since 2011, she is a practising designer of public interiors. In 2016, Tselik won the Ukrainian Design: the Very Best of 2017 Award in the Interior Design nomination. In 2017, she won the First Prize of the SALON Design Awards in the “Bars under 150 sq m” nomination. Her additional professional interests include urbanism, urban sketching, and civil work in architecture. In 2012-2014, Tselik co-organized the Architectural Adventures pro-active community of young architecture in Kharkiv, Ukraine. In 2014, she set up an open experimental Concrete Workshop No. 1 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. In 2016, she joined a project design team for Pavilion 78 architectural residence in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine, with the “Park in front of a Printing Shop” project. Since 2016, Tselik is a co-organizer and administrator of the Urban Sketchers Kharkiv regional organization. In 2018, she participated in the Urban Sketchers International Symposium in Porto, Portugal, and in 2019, took part in this Symposium in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In September 2019, Tselik co-organized and participated in the First Ukrainian National Urban Sketchers Camp.
Since 2017, Tselik cooperates with the Kharkiv School of Architecture. In 2017–2018, she was a Foundation Year Tutor in Material Implementation and Ethics; since 2019, she is a BA Studio Tutor.
