Nilina is an urban planner, civil activist, leading lecturer of the Urbanism module at the MARCH Architecture School. She is a graduate of Parsons School of Design and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston, USA, with a vast practical experience in Europe and the USA. Since 2011, Nilina heads urban-planning projects in the KCAP Architects and Planners office, Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Her projects implemented in Russia include the development plan for the three cities of Verkhnekamsk agglomeration: Berezniky, Solikamsk, and Usolye. She is an independent consultant for UNESCO, member of the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP).
Together with Prof. Ronald Wall, Nadia Nilina, architect, urban planner, expert in master planning and historic heritage conservation, leads the course Urbanisation in Developing Countries for the joint MA Advanced Urban Design programme at the Strelka Institute and the Graduate School of Urbanism at the Higher School of Economics. She is an urbanist and urban planner at the ReThink studio, New York, USA.
