Expert in urban resilience and development, urban project management, researcher, and lecturer. Since 2012, she has been working in the field of urbanism and sustainable development, designing and implementing numerous urban projects in Lviv and other cities across Ukraine.
Her expertise covers participatory urban planning, mobility, development of green areas and parks, climate adaptation and mitigation, surface water management, district heating, waste and wastewater management, as well as energy systems.
Currently, she is a PhD researcher in Earth Sciences at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. She has also studied at Lund University (Sweden), CANactions School of Urban Studies, the Ukrainian Catholic University, and a number of European institutions.
She has held leadership positions at the Lviv City Council for about 14 years, where she headed the Department of Urban Planning and the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources. At present, she serves as Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Development, responsible for sustainability. She has extensive experience in international cooperation and in implementing innovative projects in sustainable mobility, greening, environmental protection, and energy.
She is the author and manager of numerous urban projects, ranging from the reconstruction of squares and streets to the creation of innovative platforms for urban tree inventory, development of lake systems in parks, and introduction of sustainable maintenance standards for green spaces. She is also a mentor in nationwide programs on sustainable infrastructure development, as well as the initiator of projects such as “Lviv Energy and Environment Hub” and “Water Vision for Lviv 2100.”
Fluent in English and Polish, with basic knowledge of German and Norwegian.
