He has 25 years of professional experience in urban and regional development and strategic advice to public actors in Germany as well as in the context of international development cooperation. Jochen Gauly is consulting and supporting German municipalities (e.g. Leipzig, Halle/Saale) in the development and implementation of integrated development strategies with special consideration of transformation processes (such as shrinkage, growth). Another focal point is advising ministries and municipalities in more than 20 countries worldwide (e.g. in Chile, India, Romania, Serbia, South Africa, Ukraine) in the framework of German Development Cooperation (GIZ, KfW).
